Welcome to Sweet December -

Sweet December began the day my daughter was born. My husband and I decided I would stay home with her instead of putting her in daycare. This decision would mean a lot of sacrifices on our part, but we thought it best for our sweet little girl. Now, there are days when I actually wish I was behind a desk again answering phones and sneaking off to the break room coffee pot for the latest office gossip. Especially when I find myself cleaning peanut butter off of the television or wondering why I decided to let her try the “big girl” cup with no lid. But its when the man at the grocery check-out tells me that my daughter is the most well behaved child he has seen all day or when a random person stops to tell me how smart my daughter seems for her age. That’s when my heart swells with pride and I know I have made the right decision.
 
It was out of necessity that I started Sweet December. Both to make a little extra income and to quench my creative thirst. Crafting and creating has always been a passion of mine. Thanks to my mother, growing up I always had a craft project to work on. I never out grew the desire to create new and fun things. Now that I have a daughter of my own (and a son on the way!) I have a whole new direction to explore and a need to make fun and functional creations.
